More than merely a production company, Kavya Film Company is tucked away in the center of Kerala, India. We are an enthusiastic group of storytellers that create enchantment with film that knows no boundaries or tongues. We were founded on the firm conviction that stories have the ability to move people, and we have made a name for ourselves in the Indian film business, especially in the dynamic realm of Malayalam cinema.

At Kavya Film Company, we think that movies are a great way to start discussions, pique people’s interests, and create bonds. Our goal is to make movies that provoke thought and provide opposing viewpoints while still being aesthetically pleasing.

The company’s foray into international cinema began with the highly praised American film After Midnight (2019). It made its mark in Malayalam cinema with Mamangam (2019), a historical action drama that set the stage for many successful productions. Notable films produced by Kavya Film Company include:

Founder & MD

Venu Kunnappilly is an entrepreneur, an author, a film producer and a philanthropist based in the United Arab Emirates, hailing from his humble roots in Ayyampilly, a coastal town of Kochi, Kerala. His entrepreneurial ventures span industries such as automotive, textile, construction, healthcare and entertainment. His utmost passion for cinema strived him to form Kavya Film Company. After Midnight (2019), an American thriller film marked his debut as a producer. Followed by a series of super hits such as Mamangam (2019), Night Drive (2022), Malikappuram (2022) and the highest-grossing Malayalam Film of all time, 2018: Everyone is a Hero (2023).
